Cautions
If you have a history of drug/alcohol addiction or liver/kidney complaints, tell your doctor before taking Tramadol, as you may require special monitoring or may not be able to take it at all. Tramadol may be harmful if you are pregnant or breatfeeding. Once again, consult your doctor if you are, or think you may be pregnant. Over 75’s are more likely to suffer side effects of Tramadol, therefore the maximum elderly patients can take in a day is 300mg. It is not recommended for under 16’s.
Missed Dose
Never take two doses to make up for a missed dose. If you do happen to miss a dose, take one immediately if it is within one hour, otherwise move on to your next scheduled dose and skip the missed dose.

Should you experience any possible side effects to Tramadol, consult your doctor at once. Most frequent of these affect the central nervous system and gastrointestinal system. If these symptoms are severe seek medical attention. Serious side effects are increased heart rate, swelling, itching, respiratory problems, problems urinating and seizures.
