Drug Uses
Ismo is used to prevent angina (chest pain) caused by heart disease.
Ismo is used to treat those experiencing chest pains as a result of heart disease.
How Taken
Use only as directed by your doctor. Ismo is commonly taken twice a day at intervals of 7 hours or more. Take the first dose when you wake up, unless a doctor tells you otherwise. Stopping taking Ismo can result in increased likelihood of an angiona attack. Consult your doctor before any change in dose. It is usually advised to gradually reduce the dose before stopping completely.
Class and Mechanism
Ismo works by widening blood vessels in the body, thus reducing blood pressure through the veins. These types of drug are called nitrate vasodilators. Missed Dose
Missing doses should be avoided. If you do, take one at once. If you are nearer your next 7 hourly dosing schedule, resume your normal routine and skip the missed dose.
Storage
Store in dry conditions at room temperature. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.
